Dr. Salvatore Pizzino, voted Best of the Gold Coast for Fairfield CT, has been treating patients in Fairfield County since 1995. Dr. Pizzino is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry, and completed a chief residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is now a clinical attending physician. Dr. Pizzino has received his Masters through the Academy of General Dentistry. In addition, he completed fellowships in orthodontics and implant dentistry. In 2007 Dr. Pizzino co-directed dental implant seminars at NYU and has been an Invisalign Premier Provider since 2009, as well as an Invisalign guest lecturer.
In addition to being former president of the Bridgeport Dental Association, Dr. Pizzino serves on the CT State Dental Association Board of Peer Review, is a member and fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Functional Orthodontics, the International Congress of Oral Implantology and a member of the American Dental Association (ADA).
Dr. Pizzino enjoys spending time with his wife Cory and their children Callie, Nina, Lauren, Nadia, Salvatore, & Daniel. When he isn't hanging out at the beach with his family in Old Lyme, Dr. Pizzino is serving as a volunteer firefighter at the Southport Fire Department or spending one weekend a month,as a Commander in the Navy Dental Corps making sure his reserve unit in Newport RI is ready to deploy. Needless to say, In whatever Dr. Pizzino focuses his energy on, he sets himself to the highest standard.
Dr. Rebekah Browder joins Westport Family Dental after practicing in New York and Los Angeles. She completed her Bachelors and Doctorate at New York University, with Honors programs in both Aesthetic and Public Health Dentistry. Dr. Browder has a passion for continuing education and is a member of the renowned Spear Study Club. She is also following in the footsteps of Dr. Pizzino in pursuing her Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry, something accomplished by less than 2% of General Dentists.
After receiving her Doctorate, Dr. Browder completed the highly regarded General Practice Residency Program at New York Methodist Hospital, pursuing advanced training in oral surgery, pedodontics and prosthodontics. Dr. Browder taught at USC Ostrow School of Dentistry in Los Angeles, while providing pediatric care as part of a school-based public health program. Dr. Browder was also a member of the California State Dental Association’s Ethics Committee.
Dr. Browder returned home to Connecticut two years ago, where she has been in private practice while raising her two children with her husband. She is thrilled to join Westport Family Dental and provide compassionate, educational and comprehensive care to all her patients.
